“I have no idea. He just keeps popping up, so I keep having sex with him.”

Review

Jenna and Ty’s story is every bit as enjoyable as Mick’s and Gavin’s stories were. Jenna, being the youngest, has had to put up with getting her dreams waylaid because of her athletic older brothers. Reading the book, readers would find it easy to blame and parents because it just seems impossible for parents to have overlooked one child.

However, as you read on, you’d realize that there was no blame at all. The parents became too engrossed with Mick and Gavin but it was obvious that they never made Jenna feel like her dreams were not as important. It was just that Jenna herself lost the fact that her family weren’t mind readers and in order to get what you wanted, you had to stand up for yourself.

I also liked the fact that Jenna was a talented singer and song writer, but she did not want fame. Instead, she still wanted to help out in th family business, although in a different way than how the sports bar was run. I liked that instead of chasing after popularity, what she wanted instead was a music bar where other artists would be free to showcase their talent.

Ty was just a great guy all around. He was patient. It wasn’t a case of insta love. He had known Jenna for quite awhile and has been attracted to her since the first time. But he did not work on getting through to her right away. Instead, he calmly took over. He was also solid. Like Mick, he wasn’t like a sports jock at all.

I’m only giving this book four red hearts because the entire series has books which had very simple plotlines. It’s like the stories and the characters were ones you have seen more than once before. However, it also has to be said that with Jaci Burton, the books still seem fresh and the chemistry between the characters are seriously off the charts every single time.

“Unfortunately, there’s no test of compatibility to see how couples will survive together, despite what they say on those online dating sites. There’s always a risk you take when you agree to spend the rest of your life with someone.”
