When he kissed me, I was shocked. He was a stranger and still so familiar. It wasn’t until I woke up to my picture splashed on the cover of tabloids that I realized I knew who he was.

Prince Alexander of Cambridge. Royal bad boy.

Exiled heir to the throne.

He isn’t Prince Charming. He’s controlling. He’s demanding. He’s dangerous. And I can’t say no to him.

We both have secrets—secrets that could tear us apart or drive us closer together—and as the paparazzi exposes each one, I have to decide just how far I’m willing to go for King and Coun- try.

Alexander had the world at his feet and me on my knees until secrets tore us apart.

I should stay away from him. I should run. But I’m addicted to him…to the pleasure and the pain.

He warned me about his dark side…about his past. But I have a dark side, too. Together we’ll conquer our demons…if we don’t destroy each other first.

Love doesn’t always conquer all, but it can Conquer Me.

I received a reviewer’s copy of this book from ATOMR PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the series’ blog tour promotions.

I’m not usually a fan of romance novels that featured royals as main characters. I think it’s because of where I’m from. Culturally, monarchy doesn’t affect us because my country as never had that kind of government. That being said, I joined the blog tour because the plot sounded very interesting.

I’m glad I got to read this book (as well as the first book.) This series has me so hooked I couldn’t focus on anything else. I am going to rate the first book five red hearts because it was everyting that a royal romance should be. This is where we are first introduced to Clara and Alexander and the complicated love story that is theirs.

The second book shows us a stronger Clara. She was already great in book one. But she was so much more this time. I am going to rate four red hearts because as much as I loved it, I am still waiting for the most exciting part to happen, which I assume will happen in the final installment.

Clara is really one of the better heroines out there. She had a dark story, but she rose above it all. She was beautiful and confident and nice. I love Alexander, too, but Clara really rocked this time.

I am going to get myself a copy of the third book because I am so excited to know how Clara and Alexander gets to have a happy ending, or if there is even one. This series is really something to check out and read. Geneva Lee has done a great job of creating realistic characters who are also hot and intriguing. Royalty has never looked this dark, twisted, or sexy.

Geneva Lee is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of contem- porary romance. She lives in Kansas City with her family.
