Maybe we shouldn’t have fallen so fast and so willingly.

Maybe we shouldn’t have moved in together before we went on our first date.

Maybe we should have given our wounds time to heal before we tore each other to shreds.

Maybe we should have never been together.

Houston has kept a devastating secret from Rory since the day he took her into his home. But the tragic circumstances that brought them together left wounds too deep to heal.

Five years after the breakup, Houston and Rory are thrust together by forces beyond their control. And all the resentments and passion return with more intensity than ever.

Once again, Houston is left with a choice between the truth and the only girl he’s ever loved.

I received an ARC of this book from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s blog tour promotions.

If you are looking for a light read to entertain you while you chase the hours away, then this book is definitely not for you. The Way We Fal is an emotionally intense story with Rory and Houston as the main characters. It is guaranteed to frustrate you, make you sad, inspire you, annoy you, and so many other things. It is going to make you feel. Empathize. Fall.

Did I love the book? Not that much. I got so frustrated so many times by the main characters I just wanted to slap some sense into them. However, that is just a testament to how well Cassia Leo writes. I didn’t particularly fall in love with either character, but I couldn’t stop reading either. It’s like a have a love/hate relationship with the book. I hated the people, but damn, I love the way they were written.

There is no doubt that Cassia Leo is a great author. Even with a story like The Way We Fall, she has managed to create a wonderfully fictional romancec between two people that any reader will love reading about. It may be an emotioal ride, but it’s a really good one that’s worth losing your heart over.
