Title: Step-Lover
Author: Bella Jewel
 Release Date: March 9, 2015

Intended for mature audiences only

I met him before I knew.

I loved him before I knew.

I didn’t know he was my stepbrother when I fell for Bladen. I fell for a mystery guy who I spent a long, amazing weekend with. Then he got up and left me, without even a goodbye. I was nothing more than a bit of fun.

He broke my heart.

I didn’t see him again.

Until my mom and her new husband, Jack, decide to take us all on a family vacation to the lake so I can meet my new stepbrothers for the first time.

I don’t see it coming.

When he gets out of that car, my world stops. My passionate lover is…my stepbrother.

He isn’t the same man. He’s a prick and he makes sure I know it.

I’m not the same woman. I’m in love with him and I very much plan to make sure he knows it.

He won’t make my life easy. I won’t give up.

I received an ARC of this book from Give Me Books in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s release day launch promotions.I’ve been a fan of Bella Jewel for quite some time now. My favorite series of hers would be the Criminals Of The Ocean series which was about modern day pirates of the high seas. I also liked her MC Sinners series. I was excited to read Step-Lover even if the premise was not really something I can relate to. I gave it a go because I loved the author.

I’m not disappointed with the book. I actually though it was hot and tragic. I mean, there were parts that annoyed the hell out me- the hero most of of the time. I really thought every hard part that the hero and heroine went through was all because of him and that the heroine was too good for him.

That being said, this was an overall good book with the usual formula from the author which was hot, irresistible, intense and ruthless men who usually hurt the heroines in the process of them finding their HEAs. It’s a hot and steamy romance hinting at the somewhat taboo subject of romance between step siblings.
