Synopsis

After being cheated on yet again, full-figured Alice O’Brien no longer believes she’ll find her Prince Charming. She resolves to enjoy men, but refuses to involve her heart.

When she literally tumbles down a rabbit hole, she finds she has left her familiar home city of San Francisco. She has landed in a strange and beautiful world, where she meets a powerful and dominant shapeshifter, Jarronn, and his equally fierce and irresistible brothers.

By the draw of a card foretelling his kingdom’s future, Jarronn has deliberately lured Alice to his realm in hopes of averting a terrible danger threatening his people. He has every intention of saving his kingdom with his and Alice’s bond of passion, and nothing will stop him from making her his Queen of Hearts.

Excerpt

Alice shoved the insecurities away. Jarronn had taught her to love herself, and the changed Alice would never question herself like this. No, she wouldn’t ever again.

With a sigh of sheer happiness, she snuggled even closer to him. She wanted this moment to last forever.

Her next Tweet, if she could do one in this world:

@AliceOBrienSF just spent time with the King of Hearts. Who would have guessed Wonderland could be so erotic?! #letsdoitagain

Yes, she wanted him to take her until she was senseless, countless times more.

Jarronn kissed the damp hair at her forehead and murmured, “You are mine, Alice O’Brien. You belong to me.”

Her heart skipped a beat as he said the words. His. He’d just said she belonged to him. What did that mean? As some kind of property or something more?

No, she wouldn’t dwell on that now. She would enjoy this man and everything he had to offer her for as long as he wanted her. Maybe even a lifetime.

A thought occurred to her. A lifetime meant never returning to her world, never seeing her sister, cousin, aunt, or friends again. She swallowed and decided she didn’t want to think about that now. Right now she just wanted to enjoy being in Jarronn’s arms.

Review

I received a copy of this book from Goddess Fish Promotions in exchange for an honest review.

This isn’t the first erotic interpretation of Alice in Wonderland that I’ve read. However, I think I liked this one better. It wasn’t too other-worldly or to crass and cruel. It was sexy, yes. It was unbelievable, yes. But all that was just enough to make any reader wonder just how things would be if one was actually trapped in a world like Alice was.

Of course, there were a lot of weird things too, but overall, this book was entertaining and enjoyable. It was also very hot. Like BDSM hot and the sex scenes were well written. I haven’t read anything from this author before, but I’m glad I got to read this book because now, I think I’m going to check out the other books in this series as well as the other books that this author wrote.
