Empathy is an emotion that has always evaded Cam Farrell, president of the Moroad Motorcycle Club and prisoner #18794. He’s gambled with his life to finish the gun chain running across the states, get the majority of his MC brothers working inside the prison system, and place the smoke screen in Federal, Idaho. He only needs one more thing—Christina. What he wants, he takes, and freedom doesn’t mean a damn thing.

Christina Nickelson keeps to herself and uses her part-time job for Silver Valley’s Department of Children’s Services to help those who are also alone and hurting. The anger and fear she thought she’d overcome after her parents were murdered resurfaces when an ex-convict and leader of a motorcycle club claims a teenage boy in her care. She can’t let her worries go. Putting herself at risk, she finds herself held hostage, witnessing a murder, and questioning fate. The only person she can rely on is the biker who will kill her if she tries to leave.

I received a copy of this book from Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

I love biker romance. That is a known fact. Wrapped Around Him is at the core of the biker romance genre because it did not view the MC life in rose colored glasses. In fact, the hero is an ex-con who still actively working with his brothers who are still inside the facility. Aside from that, he also has shady dealings with different people and is always at risk of an ambush.

What’s more, he technically held the heroine hostage at his home and imprisoned her until the time came when she was already in too deep and was not looking to escape him anymore. The heroine was a good woman who cared about her cases. The level of of manipulation that the hero went through just so he can have the heroine to himself is unbelievable. The twist towards the end of the book completely came out of nowhere.

However, it was all in all a great read that I could not put down the moment I started reading it. It was dark, exciting, and hot. The scenes between the hero and the heroine were really steamy. The ones between the heroine and the teenage Jeremy were sweet.

This book was definitely a good mix or romance, crime, and action all rolled into one. I honestly did not think I’d enjoy the book this much, but now I find myself looking into reading the next installment because I got hooked.
