Synopsis

When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid.

Or should I say, someone?

Because of that mistake, I’m now stuck in a world I don’t belong in.

I’m a law student. They’re criminals. He’s the vice president of a motorcycle club. I’m a good girl with a strict upbringing. He’s my ex-boyfriend’s brother.

And I’m screwed.

Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love biker romance. I like that they’re gritty and raw and oftentimes dirty. I like the sharp tongues and the alpha heroes. This book is a first book in another biker series in a world that’s slowly becoming full of fictional bikers. However, this book is something you should check out.

The main problem of biker romance novels is that they are either too cheesy and fairytale-like or they are too dark to digest, even for me. Dragon’s Lair sits somewhere in the middle. Don’t get me wrong. It is still dark. In fact, aside from the hot sex between the hero and the heroine, there wasn’t much sweet moments in the book at all.

However, Chantal Fernando has successfully created a book that is filled with friendship, loyalty, darkness, and romance. There was no cheating, no degradation, no OTT inner conflicts. I loved the heroine. She was hilarious. She wasn’t trying to be cute or to be accepted. She was just being herself. The hero was one of those men you’d wish were real.

All in all, I truly loved this book, and I am sure I will be closely following this series and will be watching out for the next books that are set to come out.
