Review

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lauren Dane has written some of the best and most entertaining contemporary romance novels of recent years. Opening Up is a first book in a new series called Ink And Chrome. This book is a very promising start, and with a story like this, it won’t be a surprise if the series quickly becomes a hit.

I really liked this book. It wasn’t too gritty or dirty. The plot was well thought of. The conflicts were realistic. The chemistry between the characters made for some hot scenes that were purely enjoyable. The main characters were two people that any reader and fan of the romance genre will surely love. Even the secondary characters were interesting.

Story-wise, the whole premise is not something you haven’t seen before. However, with a few twists and turns and dashes of little details here and there, it is an entirely different kind of good time. I would recommend this book, without a doubt. I hope that the next books will be as good as this, if not even better.
