I received a copy of this book from CLP Blog Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s blog tour promotions.

First of all,  I normally stay away from stories that have cheating in the plot, especially if the act of cheating was treated casually,  as if it wasn’t a big deal that you were committed to someone but were still entertaining someone else. However,  I wanted to read this book because it wasn’t just about cheating. It was about something bigger.

Our heroine is unhappy with her marriage.  Her husband did not physically want her anymore. This starts the chain of events that lead her to meeting another man and starting out an affair.

Okay, so this is actually a reality. Many wives feel that their husband is not giving them some of their needs. It could be physical, emotional, or moral needs. This leads women into questioning their marriage, whether they should stay of not. This leads them to looking at and paying attention to other men.

If we had friends who had these problems, we would easily tell them to file for divorce,  to move on and let go of a miserable marriage. But it’s not that easy if you are the one going through it. There are many kinds of love, and while your marriage may not be what you want anymore, love is still there somehow. So it’s not that easy to just pack up and leave.

This is a good book that leaves readers to think and dig deeper into the kinds of people they are. Are they like the husband who is clearly lacking in effort to make a marriage work? Are they like the other man who comes in, sweeps people off their feet bit never really opening themselves up the same way? Or are they like the heroine, trapped, scandalized, trying to hold on to something but losing everything just as well? You? Who do you think you are more like?
