Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love alphas, and I especially love shapeshifters. I don’t know what that says about me, but I like books where the hero and other characters have a wildness in them, a kind of untameable character that make them dangerous and compelling at the same time.

This book had a fast pacing. It was good for the most part, but the fast pacing was a bit overwhelming, especially when a lot of secondary characters were introduced. However, that’s very minor, and if you really just want to focus on enjoying the story, you won’t even notice your confusion.

The love story was developed even before the story started. It wasn’t an insta-love kind of romance. I also liked that the book did not jump onto the love story right away, Instead, the author seemed to tease her readers with the possibility of heat and passion. She teases her readers but withholds the actual explosion. The reward for your patience, though, is truly worth it.

This book may be part of a series, but it can definitely be enjoyed on its own. However, if you’ve followed the series, you might find that this book is possibly the best out of the other books. Story-wise, it was truly unique. There may be authors and books that run similar to Her Wild Hero. However, the whole plot, twists, and character development featured in this book is certainly one of a kind.
