Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

In terms of historical romance, this story seemed to be very modern. It’s like something you could watch in the movies these days, about two people who come from different backgrounds but are thrown together by circumstance which is when they start their adventure in seeking treasures and falling in love.

I enjoyed this story. The heroine was really ahead of her time. She was liberated and did things which would have been considered scandalous back in the day. The hero was your typical nobility. He wasn’t a standout, but he also wasn’t forgettable. Together, they had great chemistry which made the adventure even more enjoyable.

All in all, this is another good book from this author. This is my first one from her, but I’ve read good reviews about some of her books before, so I made sure to check this out. If you like historical romance that does not focus on cheesy romance an social differences but instead takes you on a journey, then this book is right up your alley.
