I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I feel like this book started out weak. There wasn’t a lot that hooked me to it in the first few chapters. I mean, the hero was mysterious enough to gab my attention, but the heroine was a bit flat. I liked her relationship with her sisters, but I couldn’t quite connect to her that much.

The book fortunately pick up pace in the middle and toward the end, and it was great. It was a good book with a good story and the main characters showed a good amount of development. However, I almost could not get past the first few chapters.

I think I’m one of the few who feel like this, and it may mostly be just personal preference on my part. Maybe I just needed something to explode right away. Nevertheless, I will still definitely say that as far as contemporary romance novels go, His Kiss is certainly one of those that readers will enjoy and appreciate, so for that alone, I would gladly recommend this book.
