Review

I received an ARC of this book from Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review.

Rebecca Grace Allen is a new-to-me author. I haven’t read the first book in this series, but it didn’t affect this book or how I enjoyed reading it. The reason why I tend to stay away from serials is that cliffhangers drive me crazy and the necessity of reading all the way from the first book is a bit time consuming.

Anyway, I quite liked this book. I like the story and the characters that the author created. I love the friends-to-lovers trope. That means that that’s an instant point for this book. The hero was not your usual player who was a jerk and then changed because of the heroine. He was a bit playful and mischievous, yes. But he was generally a good guy. The heroine was also a fun character, expecially with her love for practical jokes.

It’s good that while this book had many people in the story, it wasn’t rowdy or messy. Therefore, even if this is the first book I’ve read from this author, I still liked it. I think that after this book, I will definitely be looking into her future works. I tried checking out the first book, but it had mixed reviews. Anyway, The Hierarchy Of Needs is a good, sexy novel that many romance fans will surely enjoy. It’s not just about the trope, it’s also the adventure and the chemistry between that main characters that will take you on a lively journey throughout the whole book.
