I received an ARC of this book from Rock Star Lit PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s release day promotions.

I love romance novels with a beach or small seaside town setting. That’s probably because I love the beach. I live in a country where it’s summer all year round. Yes, there are rainy days, but it always feels like summer everyday. Therefore, reading about the beach and beachy small towns always feels good to me.

I read the the second book of this series, and I really liked that book. I also liked this book, but I have to say that I felt like it started out slow. Maybe it was just me. Maybe I was just too excited to get to the thrilling parts. Anyway, this book has the second chance romance theme. The main characters were in love with each other before the were separated by circumstances. Now, the heroine comes back home after being away for more than a decade.

While I love second chance romances, there is a risk that the characters have grown so far apart that they realize they weren’t meant to be at all. I was scared that I’d get that kind of vibe from this book because, hey, 14 years is a really long time, you know. Fortunately, the main characters were really written for each other. I was rooting for them all the way. I may have had some issues with the pacing, but that’s mostly it. Story-wise, everything good was in this book. This is yet another good addition to the Gypsy Beach series and one that is really worth checking out.
