Review

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I truly like this best-friend’s-little-sister trope. It’s just very close to my favorite friends-to-lovers trope. I mean, you can’t be “not friends” with your best friend’s little sister, right? Or even you weren’t friends, you still knew each other and all that. So there is already an established relationship.

Enough of the ramblings. Hold Me Until Morning is the second book in the series. I have not read the first book, but I didn’t feel like I missed anything in the story. Of course, I would have been more familiar with the secondary characters if I read the first book, but it didn’t affect this book at all. I actually like the chemistry and the connection between the main characters.

I think that the book could have been elevated even more in the romance aspect because as soon as the chemistry was established, things kind of felt flat for me afterwards. I guess I wanted to see a deeper bond between the two. Anyway, all in all, it was a good, enjoyable read that I didn’t regret picking up. Of course, the fact that it’s a Brazen book already guaranteed that I would at least have a fun few hours with it, and I did.
