Review

I received an ARC of this book from IndieSage PR in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s blog tour promotions.

What can I say? I love everything that has something to do with chocolates. That’s why when I saw this book’s cover, I was already half in love with it. I knew then that I just had to read it. When I got to the part of checking the blurb out, I fell more in love with it because the story was right up my alley. It’s a sweet contemporary romance with the friends-to-lovers trope.

Do you ever read something that you already know exactly how things are going to unfold, and you feel like you’ve read the story a thousand times before but jut can’t stop reading it anyway? It’s how I feel about this book. Let’s face it. This plot has been used, re-used, and even mis-used so many times that it has become very predictable. However, despite all that, I found myself enjoying every page of this book.

The story was light and sweet and easy. I enjoyed it mainly because of the characters. The heroine is like any other girl. We usually have our sights set on the wrong target. Sometimes, we go about doing things for the wrong reasons, but there are always some things that end up being the best part of our lives. The hero was a great guy who’s had a crush on the heroine for some time now, even if she had her eye on another man. You already know what happens next because this story is already very common. Still, you’ll have fun reading this book and you won’t even have a single complaint.

This is my first book from this author, and I have to say, I will definitely check out her other books because I just happened to like her style and the way that this book entertained me through and through.
