Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I have to admit that I am a fan of Lora Leigh’s science fiction romance novels. Her Breeds series is still really one of my favorites, and is one of the pioneering series in that subgenre. However, I have to say that I haven’t really found myself sucked into her contemporary romance and romantic suspense books.

Wicked Lies is the second book on her Men Of Summer series. I actually read the first book, Loving Lies, and I loved that book. it was hot, angsty, emotional, and it also came out many, many year ago, 2006, to be exact. When I read Wicked Lies, I have already forgotten the main characters on the first book, or the things they went through to get their HEA.

Wicked Lies is still a good story, though. There were some things that I found unrealistic, but that’s fiction for you. The sex wasn’t as hot as you would expect a Lora Leigh book to be, but the scenes were still steamy on most people’s standards. All in all, I would definitely recommend Wicked Lies. it has drama, suspense, and romance all at the same time, and of course, Jessie and Slade from book 1 are here too.
