Review

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I actually don’t remember having read anything from this author before, but I’ve seen lots of other blogs posting their reviews of her books, so when I saw this book, I took a chance and requested for an ARC. One Touch More is already the third book in the series, but it was fortunately a standalone, so I was able to enjoy this book without feeling like I missed out on a lot.

I liked the main characters of this book. I think that the hero being an alpha male who’s been undercover too long that he’s become jaded and unconsciously tired was a good match for the heroine who was a good woman who wanted better things. I found that I enjoyed Ms. Baxter’s writing style. It’s not anything unique or something I’ve never seen before. However, she writes solid characters, an engaging plot, and a believable romance that I really enjoyed. I may actually go back to the previous books in the series, just so I can say I’ve read all books so far and also because I find that she is an author I wouldn’t mind binge reading on weekends.
