Review

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I haven’t read the first book in this series, and while this book can be read as a standalone, I still wish I read the previous book. Maybe I would have more insight as to the relationship between the main characters as well as their backstory. Not that these things weren’t touched throughout the book. However, I would have liked to read about the main characters when they were just secondary characters on another book.

Anyway, enough of my rambling. This is going to be another short review because I feel like giving short reviews today. If the previous review I wrote had me geeling like the main characters lacked passion and intensity, those things were not lacking in this book. I mean, given their pasts and experiences, the main characters seemed to be driven to unnecesary bouts of jealousy. But hey, jealousy is good as oppsed to apathy, right? At least these people can really make the pages burn.

I enjoyed this book. I haven’t read anything from this author, but this book has gotten me intrigued enough to want to continue reading the next book when it’s available. I may also want to check out the first book,. which is Alex’s story. Anyway, I liked this book, and this is a good one to check out.
