Review

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I haven’t read the first book in this series. However, I have read books from this author before. When it comes to contemporary romance, there are three types of authors. The first type is for authors who are already very popular. I would say Colleen Hoover, Kristen Ashley, and many others. These authors are the ones that readers attend a romance convention for. The second group is the biggest group because it holds authors who are good but are still making a name for themselves. It also holds authors who aren’t really that great but have written one or two very good books. The last groups is for those authors who are still trying to find their way in the world of contemporary romance. There is hope for them still, but they really have to step it up.

I believe Kelly Jamieson belongs in the second group. There are some books that I liked from her, but I’m still waiting for that one book that will make me a true fan. Off Limits is yet another enjoyable read with the friends-to-lovers trope. The hero is a professional athlete that many women fawn over. The heroine is trying to move on from her feelings. Their feelings for each other are sort of forbidden because of their loyalties to certain people. Anyway, all in all, it is a pretty good read that I actually did have fun with.
