Arriving back in Seattle after five years, Jessilyn Franklin is done pretending she didn’t want two men. She’s done letting anything stop her from being with Adam and Mick, now back from the war and working at Twisted Steel, a custom hot rod and motorcycle shop. One night changes everything, but their relationship must strengthen to weather the storms they’ll face as they make their way back to one another.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Let me just be honest first. I am not the biggest fan of menage. I love books with menage scenes on them. However, a story that has a menage or polyamorous relationship as its foundation doesn’t always work for me. There are some polyamorous books I love like Curing Doctor Vincent, but there aren’t that many aside from that. For this book, however, I definitely made an exemption because if there was an author whose menage book I’d read, Lauren Dane would be one of those.

And I wasn’t wrong. I truly enjoyed this book. The sex was erotic, hot. But the relationship between the main characters were sweet and touching. Ms. Dane does a wonderful job of showing her readers the journey of each character in the triad. My favorite character would be the heroine because I believe she’s the strongest heroine in this series. But it’s also hard to to love the two heroes.

I love that this book is not about an alpha hero, or a womanizing hero who’s willing to reform for the heroine. The reason why I trust Lauren Dane is that everytime she writes a series, each book’s story is always different from the other books in the series. However, she is able to weave them all together in a way that one she can. I don’t know if there will be more books from this series. If not, I will be more than happy to re-read this as well as her other books. And I’ll be on the lookout for more from her.

Lauren Dane has been writing stories since she was able to use a pencil, and before that she used to tell them to people. Of course, she still talks nonstop, and through wonderful fate and good fortune, she’s now able to share what she writes with others. It’s a wonderful life!

The basics: Lauren is a mom, a partner, a best friend and a daughter. Living in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest, she spends her late evenings writing like a fiend when she finally wrestles all of her kids to bed.
