Synopsis

A routine mission…

Sean Taggart is hunting a deadly terrorist, and his only lead is the lovely Grace Hawthorne. She’s the executive assistant for an employment agency Sean suspects is a front for illegal activities. To get the truth, he is going to have to get very close to Grace, a task he is all too eager to undertake when he discovers her deliciously submissive nature.

…turns into a dangerous seduction.

Soon, Grace Hawthorne is living a double life. By day, she is the widowed mother of two college-aged sons. By night, she submits to Sean’s every dark desire. She’s living out her wildest fantasies of pleasure—intimate acts of trust she’s only read about. As passion engulfs her, a murderer strikes, and Grace learns that Sean has a deeply hidden agenda. Will Sean choose his mission and break her heart or be the Master of her dreams?

Review

I received a copy of this book from InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review.

I have to admit that I started this series in the beginning. But I am glad that I went back to the first book now because I like knowing how popular books start. I mean this series is probably on of the most known BDSM series these days. Reading the first book was a treat because I got to meet all these characters that got my interest. I don’t get to read many books where the heroine is older than the hero, but I know that the ones I read were really good ones. In this book, even if the heroine was about eight years older than the hero, her submissive nature was a great match to him, so their age was never an issue.

Honestly, I feel like the book was a bit dragging in the first half. It was hard to connect with the hero. The heroine was okay, but there wasn’t a larger-than-life quality in her character. However, things turned around eventually, and before I knew it, the book was already thrilling and exciting and I just couldn’t put it down anymore. I think this was a great way to start the series. I may have already read the later books, but if I was able to read this book when it came out, I would definitely be one of those readers who would have waited patiently for the next installment, and I would have followed and read each book as they came out.

There are five more books available in the series: Their Virgin’s Secret, Their Virgin Concubine, Their Virgin Princess, Their Virgin Hostage, and Their Virgin Secretary. The next book in the series, Their Virgin Mistress, is releasing this April.

In addition to the Masters of Ménage series, she is the author of the Masters and Mercenaries series. There are eight full-length novels and four novellas available now, with more coming in 2015.
