Kelsey Kyle will do whatever it takes to get into the management trainee program at the casino where she works. So when she’s given the opportunity to get a VIP customer’s endorsement for the program, she jumps at the challenge. All she needs to do is arrange a one-on-one fan experience with the woman’s favorite author, tall-dark-and-intense Micah Holmes.

An entire week at a Vegas romance readers’ convention, surrounded by hundreds of people, is Micah Holmes’ idea of hell. But one look at Kelsey, his assigned hotel concierge, and the attraction is immediate. Maybe this week won’t be so bad after all…

Anything beyond a “strictly professional” relationship will get Kelsey fired, but she needs to get close to Micah to get the super fan experience her client wants. Hot sex in her apartment pool begins a game of “undercover lover” that quickly escalates to something more. But when Micah discovers her secret agenda, all bets are off.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I’m not sur ehow many What Happens In Vegas books I’ve already read. I do know that they are quick, light reads that I enjoy even if they aren’t going to be part of my favorite books. I think it’s the same with this book. I really liked the blurb for Her Secret Lover. There was a lot of forbidden love written on it.

Being a quick read, I think this book pretty much covered everything that needed to happen in the story. It took me a while to relate to the main characters, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like them. It just took longer than usual for me to warm up to them. I didn’t really understand the whole forbidden aspect. I guess that’d because I focused too much on the romance and the HEA that I wanted to see.

Anyway, this is by no means a bad book. I actually like this book. I like the fact that I finished this in just a few hours. I like the fact that it wasn’t an emotional rollercoaster, but it was an easy entertainment. Every now and then, I want something to take my mind off my demanding work and personal life, and it’s book like this that I appreciate because it provides a complete escape without taking too much out of me.
