With the life he’s led and the muscles he’s gained, Armie Jacobson isn’t afraid of anything. Except maybe Merissa Colter’s effect on him. It’s not just that she’s his best friend’s little sister. Fact is, she deserves better. Women pursue him for one night of pleasure, and that’s all he wants to offer. Until rescuing Merissa from a robbery leads to the most erotic encounter of his life.

Good girl meets bad boy. It’s a story that rarely ends well. But Merissa is taking matters into her own hands. No matter how he views himself, the Armie she knows is brave, honorable and completely loyal. And as past demons and present-day danger collide, they’re both about to learn what’s truly worth fighting for…

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve been looking forward to read and review this book. Actually, I was able to read the series, although I’ve only had time to review two. When I read the first book, it honestly took me a while to connect with the characters. I actualkly almost gave up reading it. But eventually, the story hooked me in, and when I finished the book, I was already more than entertained and willing enough to continue on. It was a good thing that I really read on because the next books just kept getting better.

I definitely enjoyed the second and third book. I knew then that I would love this book as well. And I did. For a trope about the best friend’s little sister, Ms. Foster was still able to create a story that was grittier and more intense. This isn’t your normal contemporary romance where the innocent girl falls in love with the bad boy player. This girl is also strong, loyal, and more than capable to bring the hero to his knees.

I truly love the small world that Lori Foster has created in this series. As readers, we all get to relate to at least one of her characters. We all fall in love not only with the main characters but with the secondary characters as well. If there will be more books in store for this series, I’ll happily be waiting in line to get my hands on it.
