He’s a risk she’s willing to take…

Risk analyst Bailey Reuben might be in Las Vegas, but the last thing on her mind is sin. She’s there to find her jerk of an ex and get her grandfather’s watch back. Instead, she finds a smoking hot stranger. A stranger with a crazy plan to help her retrieve her family heirloom and get revenge. It’s a bad idea—she calculates risks for a living, after all—but she can’t say no.

Bad boy PR guru Lance Fulton is all about helping the gorgeous, quirky Bailey. She’s in desperate need of some fun, and pretending to be her new boyfriend is the perfect way to help her see how sexy she is, get the watch, and show her ex what he’s missing. But the more they get to know each other—and the hotter their attraction burns—the higher the probability one of them will end up with a broken heart…

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I always enjoy the novellas in the What Happens in Vegas series. I just enjoy the fact that the books are short, straight to the point, and light. I can always finish a book in just a couple of hours. When I saw that this book which was up for review was a part of that series, I didn’t hesitate to request for it. Of course, I read the blurb and found it to be interesting.

To summarize, this book is yet another quick read. Like all books in the series, the events on this book happen in a short time span. A lot of things happened fast bescause, well, the book is meant to only be a novella after all. While I have to honestly say that there were some parts that felt hasty, I still enjoyed the story in general. There were parts where I wished that the story dipped into it more, but because of limited word count, things just have to move at a fast pace.

The characters were enjoyable. The story is light but there’s a certain sexiness to it that romance readers will surely like. I liked this book. It’s not my favorite, but I still liked it. I will be watching out for more books in this series.
