All my life I’ve been hiding, until there is no corner on this god-forsaken earth left for me to hide. I have to pay for the sins of my father. No one with Ellison blood in their veins is allowed to live, and I am the last of my bloodline.I am kept in a container waiting for my death sentence to be carried out, when he comes. He is only known as ‘Predator’. No one knows who he works for, only that he leaves no one alive.

His every breath is filled with the last gasp of his dying prey.

But for some reason he doesn’t kill me.

I don’t know which is worse, the death sentence hanging over my head, or being at his mercy.

I received an ARC of this book from Give Me Books in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s release day promotions.

To be honest, I was expecting this book to be darker than it actually is. I mean, the blurb just basically painted so many dark scenarios for me. However, this book was more contemporary than dark. And it wasn’t a bad thing. For what it’s worth, I’ve read my fair share of dark reads, and I appreciate books that tread both contemporary and dark genres.

I haven’t read anything from this author before. And I’m glad that I got to read this book because I really liked it. Her characters were created in a solid, relatable way. Not relatable because the situations were realistic, but their personalities were relatable. I liked the heroine, and I enjoyed witnessing her development. I also liked the drama and emotion that this book had. All in all, I truly enjoyed it, and I’d definitely be checking out other books from Ms. Horst from now on.

“Look at me, Cara,” and he waits until I do, “love is such a flawed thing. You can love someone but still leave them. What I feel for you goes way beyond that one word. I’m addicted to you. I feel protective of you. I breathe for you.” His eyes caress my face and follow the tears into my hair. “Love is really such a flawed word for what I feel. I live for you.”

She’s been in love with reading from an early age. She has a passion for books, quotes and animals.

She first tried her hand at writing in early 2009 and as the first words started to form into a book, she knew she was hooked.

Dreams spilled onto pages, and that was the beginning of a wonderful journey. A journey filled with joy, passion and heart stopping moments. Most of all, it’s filled with such pride and peace as a story comes to life, and characters fill your life, living in the very walls of your mind, living in the minds of your readers.

Title: Forever Rockers
Series: The Rocker #12
Author: Terri Anne Browning
Genre: Contemporary Romance
 Release Date: April 12, 2016

My Happily Ever After was turning into a living nightmare…All I wanted was Harper’s happiness and I would move the world to give her anything she ever wanted. We’ve searched for answers, talked about our options, and finally—FINALLY—found hope.

Yet, just when things seemed to be perfect, it all came crashing down around us all. The one person I’ve always counted on to hold us together—to hold me together—was lost in her own nightmares and I felt like I was losing everything.

I wasn’t going to lose the woman I loved. I would hold onto her until the last breath left my body. It was my mistakes that were hurting us and I would be the one to fix it. I wouldn’t let my past ruin my forever with Harper.

I received an ARC of this book from Give Me Books in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s release day promotions.

I think that this series is one of the most successful and long-running series in its subgenre. It’s now the 12th installment, and I’m sure that fans and readers are excited to meet their favorite characters again. And that’s all in this book. This isn’t just about Harper and her man. This is also about everybody else in the series. I like that this book seemed to bring together every other couple throughout the story.

If you haven’t read any of the previous books, I actually strongly suggest that you do. The Rocker series is a good series with various plots and unique characters. This series is a journey that any reader will enjoy. Anyway, back to this book, I really liked it. I think that this is one series that I definitely see myself revisiting every now and then. I don’t usually go for rocker romance, but in most of the books in this series, I got caught up with the story and not so much on the rocker part, so I guess that’s one reason why I really enjoyed. it.

I received an ARC of this book from Barclay Publicity in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s release day promotions.

This is another installment of The Bad Boys of Regret Hollow series. I liked the first book. This book isn’t a continuation of sorts because it can be read as a standalone. But these characters have already been introduced in the first book. I would personally suggest reading The Bad Boy’s Gift first, so you will have a background on the main characters for this book.

I won’t get tired of saying this, but I love second chance romance. The first book was also a second chance romance. Although, with this book, the history between the main characters wasn’t as deep as the one in the first book. Here, the heroine fell in love with the hero when he was on a mission to get back at the heroine’s brother for falling in love with his sister. When things went south, it was then that the hero realized how wrong he was and that he actually cared for the heroine more than he let on.

Fast forward to the present, both main characters have to endure each other again for the wedding of their siblings. I liked both main characters in this book because both of them were go-getters. The heroine was a career oriented woman, and she may be a little lost in the world, but she was a strong person. The hero provided the anchor. I think both characters complemented each other, and that’s what I liked in this book. I am looking forward to the third book. I hope I enjoy it just as much too.

“Stay in the truck. I’ll run in and grab your things,” he said, as he pulled into his driveway.

“Aren’t you going to invite me in for coffee?”

“No.” Fortunately, she didn’t know how much he wanted to invite her in. He had two nights and one day to get through. He’d protect her and send her away again. At the very least, she deserved that much.

“We could skip the coffee part.” She batted her eyelashes and laughed.

The laugh sucker-punched him. “I’m not going to make a move on you.”

Tomorrow, they’d be in-laws of a sort. He wouldn’t do anything to upset his sister on her wedding day. Having Zane beat the hell out of him for the things he’d do with Nicole if she walked inside his house again would definitely upset Julianne.

“Lucky for you, I’m looking forward to being the one who initiates all the moves.” She trailed her fingernails along his arm.

“I’m trying to make up for the past, not repeat it. Stay here.” He ran into the house and closed himself inside. Leaning against the door, he sucked in a deep breath. He never thought twice about doing the right thing on a daily basis, but, with Nicole, it took all his willpower.

Once calmness and control settled over him, he returned to the truck and stowed her luggage. As he resettled behind the wheel, she adjusted something on the rearview mirror.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“Giving you a souvenir.” She shot him a smug look.

The glow of the outside lights revealed a silhouette of pale lacy fabric hanging from the mirror. He nearly choked on his tongue. “You took off your underwear?”

No Rules. No Limits.

Party girl Tyler Gillette has just one rule: no football players. As the daughter of the owner of the San Antonio Hawks, she grew up in the shadow of the sport and her father’s enormous wealth. She was even named Tyler because he wanted a boy. Life couldn’t have drawn up a better play for turning her into a wild child—until that same life is threatened by someone from the past . . .

Former Hawks running back Rafe Ortiz has a few rules of his own. First, no weaknesses. Second, no babysitting spoiled football princesses. But his new career as a bodyguard means he’s responsible for protecting the beautiful Tyler Gillette from her mysterious stalker. But keeping his hands off her might be harder than keeping her safe . . .

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Bodyguards. Of course, they are going to be hot. I mean, we all watched The Bodyguard, right? It’s just really easy for a girl to fall for the bodyguard because that man keeps you safe, your life is sort of in their hands, they do everything to protect you, and they are always with you. I think this is what I really liked about the book. I liked the heroine, so reading about her and the hero was simply a joy. Plus, the little suspense injected into the story elevated it from being just another sports contemporary romance.

However, this book is far from perfect. I love the story, but I think there are little things, details, that still needed to be ironed out. The book didn’t feel as smooth and as flowing as I would have liked. I enjoyed it a lot, yes, but I would have really loved it if the imperfections were removed. Still, I trust Ms. Holt and her ability to give her fans and readers a good love story, which is why I will definitely be watching out for more books in this series.

Desiree Holt has lived a life of excitement that brings the color to her writing. She was a summer fishing guide, a summer field hand where she was one of only three women working, a member of a beginning ski team that skied in competition (and no, no broken bones!). She spent several years in the music business representing every kind of artist from country singer to heavy metal rock bands. For several years she also ran her own public relations agency handling any client that interested her. She is twice a finalist for an EPIC E-Book Award, a nominee for a Romantic Times Reviewers Choice Award, winner of the first 5 Heart Sweetheart of the Year Award at The Romance Studio, and is published by four different houses. Romance Junkies said of her work: “Desiree Holt is the most amazing erotica author of our time and each story is more fulfilling then the last.”

Kate Massie has big dreams-they just haven’t worked out. Yet. In the meantime, she spends her days clerking for a judge and her nights fantasizing about her tall, dark, and sexy gym crush. So when she runs into him one night, she’s shocked to realize he was her shy, nerdy junior-prom date. But that isn’t where the surprises end . . .

James Abell needs a date to his sister’s wedding. So when Kate agrees, he’s relieved . . . until one little lie turns their wedding date into a full-blown fake relationship. Only it doesn’t feel fake-not the toe-curling kisses and definitely not the electricity. Neither of them is looking for something real . . . but they just might fall for their own little white lie.

I received an ARC of this book from Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book’s blog tour promotions.

If you follow my blog, then you know that I love erotic romances and dark erotica. I love those intense stories that really grip your heart and tear you to pieces. I don’t always like tearjerkers, but I do love a good desparate, hopeless story. However, there are still days that I long for the uncomplicated, light-hearted feeling that contemporary romance novels provide.

The Wedding Date is just the right book to give me my fix of fun, easy romance. It’s yet another faux relationship trope, but this trope is just a hit all the time it really doesn’t matter to me how many similar books I’ve already read. I think my favorite character in the book is the hero. Tere was just a good amount of depth to him. That being said, the heroine was also a very enjoyable character to read.

I haven’t read anything from this author before, but I definitely enjoyed this book, so I’m pretty sure I will be checking her out again in the future.
